KUALA LUMPUR: Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan had successfully undergone a heart bypass surgery at National Heart Institute (IJN) on Tuesday.
It is learnt that doctors advised him to do the operation following a routine medical checkup conducted a week earlier at the same hospital.
Musa is currently recuperating at the intensive care unit (ICU) and doctors have put in place a strict no-visitors policy for him to rest.
